Run Configuration allows you to specify the configuration you are running the tests on. It enables better test process management and helps to fix bugs in a particular configuration.
To setup a Run Configuration in Testuff, go to Settings, select the Customization menu option, look for the Account level fields setup section and click on the Edit link on the right of it.
Click on the Add New link and type in the name of the required configuration. You can then create and edit your Run Configuration list.
To activate the Run Configuration feature in Testuff, go to Settings, select the Customization menu option, look for the Show while running test section and tick the check-box for it.
Run configuration information can be assigned per test. Assigning a run configuration value to a test ensures the test is linked to the correct configuration it was run with. When running a test from the Test Runner you may click on the More Actions three dots menu option, and then select the Change Configuration option for this specific test in the prompted Set Configuration window.
In the Labs area, when assigning tests to a Lab, you are able to select the Configuration for the assigned tests. Note that you can select more than one configuration and create different runs for the test, each with a different run configuration value.
You can always change your selection or add a new configuration while running a test as explained above.
Sure. Go to Settings, and select the Projects menu option. Pick a project and click on the Edit link. Go to Customization section and click on the Edit link for entering the configuration values for this project. These values will show up on the list of available values when assigning tests, overwriting the account global list of run configuration values.
Run Configuration information is saved for each test run, and can be found in the run history. Run Configuration is also a part of all defect reports, and is exported to your bug tracker.
Using the Product Version allows you to specify the tested application’s version. It enables better test process management and helps to fix bugs in a particular version.
Product Version information can be assigned per Lab. Assigning a product version to a lab ensures all tests in the Lab are linked to the same product version.
However, the product version can be overwritten on a per-test basis. The system will remember the last product version for all following tests and use it as the default, until changed.
Product Version information is saved for each test run, and can be found in the test run information. Product version is also a part of all defect reports and gets exported to your bug tracker.
