What is the user hierarchy in Testuff?

There are six types of users in Testuff:

  • Admin has full access to all areas, menus and options. Admins manage the account settings, add and remove testers, and manage the permissions on Testuff for all other users.
  • QA Lead has full access within the projects they are assigned to, but cannot change account settings.
  • Tester (Run tests) can only run tests that have been assigned to them.
  • Test Writer (Write tests) can only write tests.
  • Run & Write tester. A combination of rights to run tests and to write tests.
  • View Only users can view all screens and data, but cannot perform any actions.

The permissions are set by an Admin using the Edit User settings window.

How do I add testers to Testuff?

  1. Go to Settings and select Users menu option. You will see all available users if any.
  2. Click on Add user link. Enter the tester’s name and email address.
  3. An email will be sent to the tester with login information, including a generated password. Users should add the testuff.com domain name to their whitelist to ensure future messages and email deliveries.
  4. The new tester may now log in to the Testuff account.
    • It is highly recommended to change the generated password by going to User Settings under User Details, clicking on Change Password button.
    • The new tester may set a user image, edit the name and set the preferred language.

How do I change my password?

  1. Click the User Settings icon on top right of the screen.
  2. Under User Details click the Change Password button.
  3. Enter your old and new passwords.
  4. Click Change button to confirm the password change.

How do I change a user email address?

  1. Go to Settings and select Users menu option.
  2. Click Edit button next to the user’s name.
  3. Click on current email or the Change Email link.
  4. Enter the new address.
  5. Click OK to confirm the change.

How do I change my photo?

  1. Click the User Settings icon on top right of the screen.
  2. Under User Details click the Change Image link.
  3. Choose an image and click Open.

How can I delete testers?

  1. Go to Settings and select Users menu option.
  2. Click Delete button for the tester you wish to delete.
  3. A warning message will trigger, click on Delete button to confirm or Cancel to undo the action.

I need more testers than my account permits. What should I do?

If you have already purchased monthly licenses, go to the settings (in Testuff) and change the number of licenses to the new number you wish to have on your account, using the change link.

If you have purchased yearly licenses please log in to your BlueSnap account at BlueSnap website and purchase additional licenses. Otherwise, contact us.
