What is the user hierarchy in Testuff?

There are five types of users in Testuff:

  • Admin has full access to all areas, menus and options. Admins manage the account settings, add and remove testers, and manage the permissions on Testuff for all other users.
  • QA Leader has full access within the projects they are assigned to, but cannot change account settings.
  • Tester can only run tests that have been assigned to them.
  • Test Writer can only write tests.
  • View Only users can view all screens and data but cannot perform any actions.

There is also one additional selection, combining the rights of Tester and Test Writer.

The permissions are set by an Admin using the Manage testers settings window.

How do I add testers to Testuff?

  1. Go to the Testuff home screen via the home icon at the top of the window.
  2. Click the Manage testers link at the top right, then click Add Tester.
  3. Enter the tester’s name and email address.
  4. An email will be sent to the tester with login information, including a generated password. If you find the email in your junk or spam folder please add the testuff.com domain name to your whitelist to ensure future deliveries.
  5. The new tester may now log in to their Testuff account.
    • It is highly recommended to change the generated password via the Settings link at the top right of the window.
    • The new tester may set a user image by going to the Testuff home screen and clicking the Settings link.

How do I change my password?

  1. Click the Settings link at the top right of the Testuff Home screen.
  2. Go to the User Details tab.
  3. Click the Change password link.
  4. Input your old and new passwords.
  5. Click OK to confirm the password change.

How do I change a user email address?

  1. Click the Manage Testers link in the home screen.
  2. Click Edit next to the user’s name.
  3. Click the Change email link.
  4. Input the new address.
  5. Click OK to confirm the change.

How do I change my photo?

  1. Click the Settings link at the top right of the Testuff window.
  2. Go to the User Details tab.
  3. Click the change link under the photo on the right.
  4. Choose an image of your liking and click open.

How can I delete testers?

  1. Go to the Testuff home screen via the home icon at the top of the window.
  2. Click on Manage testers.
  3. Click Delete tester for the tester you wish to delete, on the right end of the window.

I need more testers than my account permits. What should I do?

If you have already purchased monthly licenses, go to the settings (in Testuff) and change the number of licenses to the new number you wish to have on your account.

If you have purchased yearly licenses please log in to your account on the BlueSnap website (previously Plimus) and purchase additional licenses. Otherwise, contact us.
